Democracy may be the best form of government we have right now but it still needs work. If the people don't watch over the government then they can do whatever they want. Also having a "majority" says system only ensures that a large portion of people will have their rights taken away.

The best form of government is one where the many do not tell the few how to live. I don't think we've found the best form yet.

The best form of government would be a uncorrupted King who really cares about his people and does every he can for them and the country.

What we have today are politicians who only care about themselves and don't work for the people but for corporations.

Democracy is the best form of Government we have because it has allowed for Checks and Balances. They are there to ensure that political power is dispersed and decentralized and never just in the hands of a few. Unlike with past Governments, Democracy is a system founded on the deeply held belief that government is best when its potential for abuse is curbed and when it is held as close to the people as possible.
